FAQ
I. Are your port cranes resistant to saltwater corrosion?
Yes. All marine-environment cranes receive a C5-M coating system per ISO 12944 (minimum 320μm DFT), stainless steel fasteners, and sealed electrical enclosures (IP65+). For extreme coastal sites, we can add zinc-aluminum thermal spray coating for 20+ years of corrosion protection.
II. Can your gantry cranes handle container handling?
Our standard gantry cranes are designed for general cargo and heavy equipment. For dedicated container handling, we recommend specialized RTG or RMG cranes. However, we can supply grab-equipped or spreader-compatible gantry cranes for occasional container operations (up to 50 tons, 40ft containers).
III. What wind load can your outdoor cranes withstand?
Standard outdoor cranes are designed for 35 m/s (126 km/h) wind load with rail clamps and brakes engaged. For typhoon-prone regions, we can reinforce structures and add automatic anchoring systems rated for 55+ m/s. Wind speed monitoring and auto-stop functions are available as options.
IV. Do you provide cranes for ship repair and dry dock applications?
Yes. We supply heavy-duty gantry cranes (up to 900 tons) and semi-gantry designs specifically for dry docks and ship repair yards. Features include synchronized dual-lift control, precise positioning for hull section alignment, and modular designs that can be relocated as dock layouts change.
